American Pie, LLC has recalled over 1,400 cases of frozen pies (Marie Callender Turtle Pies) that may be contaminated with bacteria that could cause food poisoning. The pies were sold in Kroger, Giant Eagle and Hy-Vee supermarkets in Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. The recall includes pies with UPC code of 12781 10280, and production code ending in 143.

Ford is recalling nearly 4 million vehicles because a defective cruise control switch. The defect could cause a short and lead to a vehicle fire. This is the same issue that prompted a 6-million vehicle recall in early 2005.

Fifteen different Ford models built between 1992 and 2004 are affected by this recall:

French-cut green beans manufactured by Lakeside Foods Inc. could be tainted with the toxin that causes botulism.

The affected Lakeside French-cut green beans are sold nationwide under the brands: Albertson's, Happy Harvest, Best Choice, Food Club, Bogopa, Valu Time, Hill Country Fare, HEB, Laura Lynn, Kroger, No Name, North Pride, Shop N Save, Shoppers Valu, Schnucks, Cub Foods, Dierbergs, Flavorite, IGA, Best Choice and Thrifty Maid.

Two children in West Texas have been diagnosed with Botulism poisoning as a result of eating Castleberry’s Austex Hot Dog Chili Sauce Original for lunch on June 28. One is now hospitalized in critical condition. The day after eating the tainted Castleberry’s Chili Sauce the two started to show classic signs of Botulism poisoning, including paralysis on both sides of their bodies and eye troubles.

They were placed on breathing machines after confirmation of botulism poisoning. The infected cans were produced on May 7 in the Castleberry’s Georgiacanning plant.

My Husband was just arrested for felony non paymnet of 23,000 in child support arrears. How long is the sentencing on the charge? What can we do to lesson the amount of time he serves? Is there any advice you can give me on this. He was arrested in the state of Colorado on this Michigan warrant.

The latest recall needs to be taken seriously. Botulism is an extremely potent nerve toxin that can cause paralysis and death, and the pathogen may be present in tens of million of cans of products on store and consumer shelves.

I have health insurance"Medicare HMO" and my wife does not have any medical insurance.. If she ends up in the hospital can the hospital come after my non-joint banking accounts "MY NAME ONLY", even if I did not sign the hospital bill as "Garrantor" and she did? My signature is no were on the bill, only hers. Can any Florida Lawyers out there field an answer on this one? And if the answer is "I'm still liable", what would be the best way to protect my assets until she gets on Medicare?

I worked for an apartment complex that owned 2 properties. They had me labeled as an Independant Contractor. Soon after I was fired by the apartment manager I filed an SS-8 form to the IRS. I was mailed a letter that determined me to be an employee and that the company deliberatly labled their maintenance workers as Independant Contractors so they would not have to pay the taxes for having anyone as actual employees. They did however pay the taxes for the manager they have running their properties. I have now filed for unemployement benefits from the company.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Easy-Bake Ovens

Units: About 1 million

Manufacturer: Easy-Bake, a division of Hasbro, Inc., of Pawtucket, R.I

Hazard: Young children can insert their hands into the oven’s front opening, and get their hands or fingers caught, posing entrapment and burn hazards.

Hot dog chili sauce has been linked to four cases of botulism poisoning in Texas and Indiana. The chili sauce was produced by the Castleberry’s Food Company in Augusta, Georgia. It was sold under the brand names Castleberry’s, Kroger and Austex’s and came in 10 ounce cans.

Gerber baby food manufacturers has voluntarily recalled thousands of boxes of Organic Whole Grain Rice and Organic Whole Grain Oatmeal cereals because they posed a choking hazard to children. Some clumps of cereal, when mixed with water or milk, do not fully mix and can cause a choking hazard. The FDA said that it was aware of Gerber’s actions, and agreed with the recall.

FDA advises consumers to stop using heating pads manufactured by HoMedics, Inc. because the products may cause burns or fires. Consumers should return the heating pads to the place of purchase immediately. See the FDA "Advice For Patients" page for a list of the product model numbers affected by the recall.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in

cooperation with GE Consumer & Industrial, of Louisville, Kentucky, today announced a voluntary recall of aproimately 2.5 million GE Dishwashers.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

The hazard associated with the recall product is that liquid rinse-aid can leak from its dispenser onto the dishwasher's internal wiring which can cause an electrical short and overheating, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

Robert's American Gourmet Food, Inc.of Sea Cliff, New York is recalling Veggie Booty Snack Food all lots and sizes, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

My sister couldn't get an apartment in her name so she asked me to lease it for her. I did and she got evicted. I just got married and my wife and I were in the process of purchasing another home, so we pulled my credit report and noticed a balance of approx. $4000. We went to my sister several times and she said she would have to make payments, but every time we asked for a payment she always had a sob story. So my wife called her and explained to her that I didn't want to take her to court.

Do We have any recourse in this matter???? Can we get our $121.00 refunded to us> If we take this building management to small claims court, what are our odds of winning the case?? Thanks!

Patients with brain tumors may have been exposed to the wrong dose of radiation because of a malfunctioning radiation system called Novalis, made by BrainLAB, a German manufacturer. Two clinics in the United States have recently discontinued use of the Novalis system due to the malfunction: The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and The Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. These clinics have been using the BrainLAB equipment since 2004. Some 550 BrainLAB radiotherapy machines are used around the world, with the majority in the United States.

I was working in Afghanistan and was sent to a forward operating base. I was ordered by my comapny to sign for a military equipment list which was inaccurate. I was terminated some weeks later for this under the title I refused an assignment. I told my employer that it was fraud to sign for a goverment equipment list that's not accurate. I have experience in this matter as I served in the military for 20 years and had a equipment list I maintained for several years. I have hired an attorney but he advises unlawful termiantion is hard to prove.
